MH2 Treasury v2.0

Donate

I plan to pool the monies donated and give a third of the total to each charity via justgiving.com on my return in September. This enables the tax to be claimed back plus also a small government contribution. You will be able to watch the pledged total accumulate online. I will provide links here to the relevant justgiving pages to show the donations given.

The first charity was clear in my mind, an obvious one, the RNLI

http://www.rnli.org.uk/

The second was inspired by a brave man (Nigel and being supported by Richard) who started his circumnavigation of the UK two weeks ago - but in a kayak! He is raising money for BLESMA (the British Limless Ex ServiceMans Association), having himself lost his left leg in a parachuting accident ten years ago. Maybe the MOD should be supporting these men better themselves, but in the circumstances I am keen to give support.

The marine conservation society released a small acticle in the 'All At Sea' newpaper, highlighting its endeavours and promoting sponsored 'coastal challenge' events. As this trip fitted the bill perfectly and the cause is a good one the MCS is the third charity of choice.
